Bromley Group delivers concrete works across Auckland for residential, commercial, and civil construction projects. From driveways and paths through to structural slabs, kerb and channel, and commercial flatwork — we handle the full scope of concrete installation with an emphasis on preparation, accuracy, and finish quality.
Concrete is one of those trades where shortcuts show up fast. Cracking, uneven surfaces, and poor drainage fall are almost always caused by inadequate subgrade preparation, incorrect mix design, or rushed finishing. We prepare every surface properly before a single truck arrives on site — correct levels, compacted subgrade, drainage falls built in — so the concrete performs as it should from day one.
We work across residential builds, commercial developments, and subdivision infrastructure, often alongside our own earthworks and drainage teams to deliver a fully coordinated result.

What sets our concrete work apart
The finish is what people see - but what's underneath is what determines how long it lasts.
Subgrade preparation first
We don't pour on soft or uneven ground. Subgrade is prepared, compacted, and checked for level before any concrete is ordered.
Right mix for the application
We specify the correct concrete mix for the load, exposure, and finish required — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Drainage falls built in
Every surface is formed to drain correctly — away from buildings, to outlets, and without pooling. Drainage is designed in, not fixed after.
Finished properly
Broom, exposed aggregate, or smooth — we finish to the spec required and take the time to get joints and edges right.
Who we work with
Homeowners
New driveways, paths, patios, and garage slabs. We'll assess your site, advise on the right approach, and deliver a finish that looks good and lasts.
Developers
Footpaths, crossings, kerb and channel, and hardstand as part of full subdivision civil packages - coordinated with earthworks and drainage.
Builders & main contractors
Concrete subcontractor who can coordinate with the wider build programme, work to engineering specifications, and deliver on time without holding up the next trade.
Commercial clients
Large-format flatwork, hardstand areas, and commercial driveways. We work to engineering drawings and manage programme on busy commercial sites.

Common questions
How much does a concrete driveway cost in Auckland?
Concrete driveway pricing depends on size, access, subgrade conditions, thickness required, and the finish specified. The variables are significant enough that a site visit is the only way to give you a meaningful price. Get in touch and we'll come out to assess it.
How long does concrete take to cure before I can use it?
Concrete reaches sufficient strength for foot traffic in around 24–48 hours, and vehicle traffic after 7 days in normal conditions. Full design strength is typically achieved at 28 days. We'll advise you on timing specific to your project and the mix used.
Why has my existing concrete cracked?
Cracking in concrete is most commonly caused by inadequate subgrade preparation, incorrect joint spacing, drying too quickly in hot or windy conditions, or an incorrect mix. Settlement cracks often indicate soft or poorly compacted material underneath. We can assess existing concrete and advise on repair or replacement options.
Do you do concrete grind and seal?
Yes. Concrete grinding and sealing is a cost-effective way to restore or improve an existing concrete surface — removing surface defects and applying a durable sealed finish. It works well for garages, driveways, and commercial floors where the underlying concrete is structurally sound.
Can you handle kerb and channel for subdivision projects?
Yes. We install both extruded and formed kerb and channel as part of subdivision civil packages, in accordance with Auckland Transport and Auckland Council standards. This is typically coordinated with our drainage and earthworks scope on the same project.
