Overview

Outcome

Failed pavement areas were excavated, the underlying base was repaired and compacted, and the affected areas were reinstated in hotmix asphalt.

Overview

Bromley Group delivered a treated timber retaining wall to support level changes on a residential Auckland site, with drainage and backfill completed as part of the wall system.

Outcome

Overview

Overview

Overview

Subdivision civil works in progress

Overview

Bromley Group was engaged to resolve recurring stormwater ingress into the basement of a commercial property in Mt Eden. Surface water was tracking across the car park surface and migrating into the building during heavy rainfall. The works were delivered within a fully enclosed site in a busy retail car park, with all surrounding tenancies remaining accessible via footpath throughout construction.

Scope of Works

• Site establishment and full hoarding enclosure within a live retail environment
• Excavation and installation of approximately 18 metres of heavy-duty linear channel drainage
• Construction of a new concrete cesspit
• New stormwater connection to existing soak pit
• Reinforced concrete encasement of drainage system
• Asphalt reconstruction and reinstatement
• Full car park reinstatement and return to operation

Site Considerations

The project required a fully enclosed hoarded site within an operational retail car park. Vehicle access through the car park was closed for the duration of works, with pedestrian access to all surrounding tenancies maintained via footpath throughout. Existing site conditions uncovered during excavation required on-site problem solving to maintain programme and quality.

Work Completed

A hoarded site enclosure was established within the retail car park. Approximately 18 metres of heavy-duty linear channel drainage was excavated and installed, a new concrete cesspit was constructed and a new stormwater connection was made to the existing soak pit. The drainage system was encased in reinforced concrete, asphalt was reconstructed and reinstated, and the car park was returned to operation.

Outcome

The completed drainage system intercepts surface runoff before it reaches the building, to address the recurring basement water ingress. The channel drain is installed flush with the reinstated asphalt surface, and the car park was returned to full operation on completion.

Overview

Bromley Group completed a full driveway reinstatement across two adjoining residential properties in Mission Bay. The existing exposed aggregate concrete driveway had cracked and failed across both sites. Works included full demolition, subgrade preparation, a new concrete slab and a new channel drain at the gate line.

Site Considerations

Works were carried out across two adjoining residential properties requiring careful coordination to deliver both driveways as a single integrated scope. Access management and sequencing were managed to minimise disruption to both households throughout construction.

Work Completed

The failed exposed aggregate concrete driveways at both properties were demolished and removed. The subgrade was prepared and compacted, basecourse was installed, and reinforcing and formwork were placed before the new exposed aggregate concrete slab was poured. A new channel drain was installed at the gate line and connected to the existing stormwater line.
